Hosting organization: Green Sun Association in Targu Secuiesc (Kézdivásárhely) and its surroundings in Covasna County, Romania
Period: 6 June 2014 – 6 May 2015
Duration: 11 months
Volunteer profile: Volunteers should be 20-30 years old. We welcome young people without any discrimination, from all religions and sexual orientation.
Financials: Volunteers get a monthly payment around 170€ per month (including pocket money) that should cover food and leisure activities. Accommodation, international travel, visa is covered by the Erasmus+ programme.
Local transport: There is no local transport allowance provided. At Targu Secuiesc there are short distances, therefore here doesn’t exist local transport, but, if needed we can provide bicycle for each volunteer.

Project main objectives:
- promotion of green values among different people, especially youth in our community
- voluntary work
- rural and urban development
Project activities:
- developing the skills of youth from rural and urban area through various community programs
- including more and more young people in volunteering through different non-formal activities
- realizing non formal educational seminars
- raising awareness concerning ecological and social issues
Tasks of volunteer:
- Helping to lead the activities of the green after school program of the association. This program includes working in 2 groups/2 time per week with children and youngsters. The activities consist in handicraft workshops, lectures about environment and healthy lifestyle, using non formal educational method.
- Helping to prepare small local projects
- Leading informing activities with the help of the specialist in various programs
- Developing new green game ideas
- Leading foreign language courses one time per week in 2 stages during the project
- Visiting our partner schools, organizations and promoting volunteering within EVS program
Rights for the volunteer:
Volunteer has the right to get all the support to the work and support in daily life according to all the agreements from the Activity Agreement.
Working hours and days off:
The volunteer will not work more than 35 hours per week (5 days a week) which will include some negotiated working weekends for seminars and meetings. The volunteer’s weekly schedule will vary greatly due to meetings, seminars and events. The volunteer will have 2 days complete rest per week. Saturdays is in generally working days.His time will roughly be divided as follows:
- Training of the volunteer (non-formal education, language courses) 10%
- Program development 10%
- Work with local groups between organization activities 50%
- Communications 20%
- Evaluation 10%
