1. Hosting organization: Vilnius special school “Atgaja” for disabled children (in Vilnius)
Period: 1 October 2014 – 1 June 2015
Duration: 8 months
Volunteers needed: 2 volunteers
EI-number: 2013-LT-3
The main role of the volunteers would be assistance for the children, that means any help that is needed during lessons, as well as assist the children in any other leisure or outdoor activities.
Possible activities for the volunteers:
- help to teach children foreign language
- teach communication skills through different verbal and non-verbal games, outdoor activities, workshops
- organize presentations about his/her country, culture, food, games etc.
- go together to theatre, cinema, museums
- participate in the excursions to other Lithuanian towns and nice places
- represent volunteer’s activities, and work to the community (through press, internet, celebrations and so on)
- to become a friend of a child
What is more, a volunteer could take an active part in everyday life of organization, help to organize some events, as well as organize any activity or programme he/she is interested in. The volunteer will be able to develop any ideas he/she has, new proposals and points of view as well as any other initiatives will be highly appreciated.
2. Hosting organization: „Beepart“ (in Vilnius)
Period: 1 September 2014 – 1 March 2015
Duration: 6 months
Volunteers needed: 1 volunteer

Organizations mission:
- spread culture from center to suburbs
- initiate various activities to bring people into community
Organizations main activities:
- creativity lessons for kids
- eco-design lessons ans workshops for teenagers
- films screenings
- various small events like concerts, exhibitions, lectures, readings and etc.,
- yoga
- exercises for adults
Also we are organizing entertaining and educational excursions inside and outside Beepart space and in the surroundings, once a year – light installation festival with more than 30 light installations. New technologies inovation workshop and photography workshop are held here. Daily activities also include looking after “beepilaite” facebook profile and webpage.
Tasks of volunteer:
- work with different age and status people
- volunteers will learn how to communicate with kids of different age, to organize own agenda
- work with teenagers and kids in creativity lessons
- organizing excursions for schoolchildren, kindergarten kids and others in Beepart space
- help to organize films screenings
- help to organize Beepositive light installation festival
- various help for Artists, working with festival
- take care of Beepart household
- looking after beepilaite facebook profile
- initiating own projects on beepart platform
- helping to organize small events: concerts, exhibitions, lectures, readings and etc…
3. Hosting organization: Elektrėnai cultural centre (in Elektrėnai – small town near Vilnius)
Period: 1 October 2014 – 1 March 2015
Duration: 5 months
Volunteers needed: 1 volunteer
EI-number: 2012-LT-36
Volunteers will be able to organize various events for the local community, share their culture with the local people, and take part in traditional festivals organized by cultural centre and other organizations. There is an open youth area in the cultural centre where volunteers will be able to organize educational activities for youth and children.
Tasks of volunteer:
- prepare stage, class or other place for event by making decorations, lay out furniture, prepare and hang information posters in town
- take part in events
- tidy events place before and after activities
- write articles for newspapers with own impressions about passed activities
- take part in the office work by preparing various documents
- taking care of technical work
As the most of the organization‘s staff members foreign language is Russian, we would be willing to host a volunteer who also speaks (some) Russian.
Application deadline: 3rd of February 2014
Documentation: CV (with your photo) and your MOTIVATION LETTER for one concrete project (please write which one exactly).
Please write us in your motivation letter why are you interested in this project, what do you want to learn during your EVS, what do you want to suggest for this host organisation and what do you expect from us. Write about yourself (your character, your hobbies, your skills, your experience in the volunteering field, your activities at this moment, the main reasons for your decision to take part in EVS project and to choose Lithuania).
Although the EVS is open to all young people from 18 to 30 years, it has a special focus on young people with less opportunities, so please write us if you think that you meet any criteria of less opportunities. Also please write your sending organisation‘s contact details. YOUR MOTIVATION and YOUR WISH TO VOLUNTEER in one of the organisations mentioned above with the people who really need your help and your ideas ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT.
